    Business Development Manager – EV Products

    Role

    As part of the companies continued commitment to growth, this role has arisen to be part of developing this leading Manufacturers range of Electric Vehicle Products. The products are used for the infrastructure of car charging points, everything from bases, retention sockets, bollards, access covers & cable protection. All products are universal and will work in conjunction with all EV manufacturers. In this role you will be selling to Corporate End Users & Local Authorities who provide the facilities for users to charge their Electric Vehicles. You will see these products at any service station, petrol forecourt, fast food drive through areas and car parks.  Once you win the specification you will manage the process through the Civil Engineering & Contractor network so it will involve some technical input.  There is lots of existing business but also a huge amount of potential new customers too.  The growth in this side of the business is huge, they have almost doubled turnover over the last 3 years. The area is all of the Midlands north up the Scottish borders , ideally you will be located in the Midlands, Yorkshire or North West.

    The most important thing for my client is the candidate’s attitude, you need to be hungry, driven, tenacious, enthusiastic, engaging, energetic & organised. My client likes down to earth personalities who can think outside the box. You need to be a chameleon who is able to build rapport with a consulting engineer one minute & a contactor the next. They are very open on construction products experience but having a link to Civils or Electrical would be beneficial.  If you come from a hands on site background and you have progressed into sales that is also a big advantage. They are all a close knit team with no ego’s so you need to be a team player who is still very much on the way up in your career.
