As part of this market leading manufacturers growth they are seeking two Business Development Managers to sell their strong and respected range of Building Materials. This team sell solely into the Top 5 National Buying Groups – Fortis, NBG, CBA, H&V, NTG (National Timber Group). This role will be purely targeting independent merchants within these buying groups selling at a regional and branch level, predominantly nurturing, and developing existing business relationships together with identifying and winning new customers. Together with selling and adding new stock ranges within branches, the roles will include setting up Point of Sale, Communicating marketing/promotions, attending trade events and ensuring all members are working in line with the agreed national terms. You will be working in a team of 4 Business Development Managers. The 2 areas are as follows – The south West from Avon down including Dorset, Hampshire & Berkshire & the other area is East Anglia, Kent & the Southern Home Counties.

My client is looking for a sharp, enthusiastic individual who has strong experience selling into merchants. Naturally any experience with buying groups is hugely advantageous but not essential. The client also believes product knowledge is less important as full and thorough training is provided. You need to be working for a Manufacturer with experience selling to Merchants and be based on the areas concerned. These are great opportunities to work for a market leader with a strong brand name.
