UK Sales Manager
As the UK Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales performance by executing the company’s sales strategy to foster significant revenue growth and profit contribution. You will lead and inspire a dynamic team of five Area Sales Managers (ASMs) who target the healthcare industry along with internal sales staff, ensuring they are motivated, supported, and equipped to exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Achieve and surpass sales targets set in collaboration with the Commercial Director, managing a current turnover of £11.5m with substantial growth forecasts.
- Strategic Execution: Implement the agreed sales strategy through your team, aligning with the business plan to accelerate growth and optimize margin contribution.
- KPI Management: Own and deliver on Sales KPIs, ensuring your team consistently meets performance benchmarks.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous development, and professional integrity.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Shadow and coach the sales team in the field, ensuring excellence in client interactions, including CPD delivery.
- Market Insights: Provide valuable market and customer insights to better understand customer needs and enhance their experience.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain meticulous pipeline management practices to maximize conversion rates.
- Commercial Decision-Making: Support sound decision-making processes regarding quotes, margin considerations, and adherence to authority limits.
- Forecasting & Planning: Ensure accurate and reliable sales forecasts to support the business’s operational and strategic needs.
- Collaboration: Partner with Marketing to ensure successful implementation and resourcing of company events, ensuring alignment between Sales and Marketing activities.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company processes and effective use of company systems, particularly CRM.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct timely reviews and one-on-ones, planning and leading regular sales meetings, coaching sessions, and training programs.
- Customer Escalation: Act as the point of escalation for customer service-related issues, working closely with the Projects team to resolve complaints effectively.

- Experience: Proven track record in managing a field-based sales team, ideally within the building products, construction, or related sectors.
- Strategic & Tactical Thinker: A tactical thinker with strategic awareness and a solutions-led approach to problem-solving.
