This is a senior Management role giving you complete responsibility for this leading companies Sales and Marketing functions. You will have complete autonomy to lead, coach, motivate and develop a national team of 4 Area Sales Managers . Setting the sales targets of the external sales team and ensuring they adhere to the sales strategy you put in place. Your team will be selling the companies extensive range of Sectional Garage Doors, Insulated Roller Doors, Up and Over Garage Doors, Garage Side Doors and Industrial Doors through a varied route to market that includes National Builders Merchants , National & Regional Developers and specialist Trade Distributors/Fabricators. Aside from the External Sales Management responsibility you will also be managing an Internal Sales Manager as well as 6 internal customer service Sales individuals. The company are very keen for the successful candidate to take responsibility for the companies Marketing function ensuring a smooth connection between Sales & Marketing. Reporting directly into the Managing Director you will have an overall turnover responsibility of £30 million. Being a National role you will need to be based as close to the major motorway networks.

My client , the managing director, is looking for a strong man manager from a building products background that can clearly demonstrate success and a proven track record in managing and growing an external Sales team. You need to be able to demonstrate the ability to be hands on with the sales team. You could currently be or very recently have been a National or even a regional Sales Manager as long as you have the ability to lead from the front. It would be a huge advantage if you possess Marketing experience. They would like a strategic forward thinker with a proven track record of success who possesses integrity, passion and drive. You also need to be good with figures and be used to managing budgets.
