    Specification Sales Manager – HVAC Products

    Role

    A leading manufacturer in the ventilation sector is seeking a Specification Sales Manager – Social Housing to join their growing team. This role involves selling domestic ventilation solutions into the social housing specification market. The successful candidate will manage the full project cycle, from winning specifications with housing providers to ensuring projects are delivered via contractors and distributors.

    This is a high-value area that achieved 115% of target in 2024. The role is replacing a previous team member who has moved internally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Specification Sales – Work with social housing providers to secure product specifications.
    • Project Management – Engage at the design and tender stages, providing technical support and CPD presentations.
    • Contractor Engagement – Ensure specifications are upheld and negotiate pricing at the order stage with M&E contractors.
    • Merchant & Distributor Liaison – Manage product availability through wholesalers to ensure project success.

    This role covers Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, North London, and North Kent. Candidates must be based within or close to this region.

    The ideal candidate will be a driven and commercially focused salesperson with experience in the HVAC, construction, or building materials sectors.

    Essential Experience:

    • Social Housing Sales – Experience selling into the social housing sector is highly preferred.
    • Ventilation or HVAC Sales – A background in ventilation, heating, renewables, or HVAC is desirable.
    • Specification & Contractor Sales – Strong understanding of specification-led sales and contractor engagement.
    • Self-Motivated & Tenacious – Must be proactive, commercially astute, and capable of driving revenue in a competitive market.
    • Resilient & Independent – This territory has seen changes in recent years, so candidates must be self-sufficient and demonstrate long-term commitment.
