Technical Sales & Specification Manager
Job Summary:
Working for this specialist manufacturer you will be tasked with selling non-combustible products for the high-rise sector.
As Specification Manager you will play a crucial role in providing technical advice and design support to ensure a seamless specification process working closely with Architects, Main Contractors and New Build. Covering the whole of the South East with major focus on London projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Target Architects, Main Contractors, Engineers along wih technical teams from developers and housing associations to assist in the specification
- Conduct professional one-on-one meetings with specifiers, aiming to secure product specifications for their projects.
- Attend 6-8 customer meetings weekly, focusing on acquiring specifications
- Identify new business opportunities by reviewing planning leads and utilising lead generation services.
- Promote a positive image of the company in the marketplace, while maintaining and developing relationships at the relevant level
- Work closely with technical and commercial managers
- Develop and deliver CPD seminars
- Collaborate with the technical team to monitor project progress
- Engage with technical contacts and establish relationships with new prospects.
- Support campaigns targeted at Architects and Specifiers, providing ongoing feedback on performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Regularly report on project statuses and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Attend industry events and maintain professional records in our CRM system.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in specification or business development.
- Proven record of successful business development and specification experience with architects and contractors.
- Experience within the Building Envelope sector
- Deep knowledge of the construction industry, particularly technical and commercial processes.
- Strong commercial awareness and judgment.
- Ability to meet goals and handle competitive environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Additional Requirements:
- Must reside in the South East Region
- Full, clean UK driving license is preferred
