This is an amazing opportunity to be fast tracked into a Sales & Marketing Director within 3 years. The company are a leading producer of Timber Materials which can be used in wide variety of applications. This role will begin with a 3-year thorough training & development programme learning all aspects of the business, including commercial sales, the SAP systems , Shipping/Haulage & the companies Marketing functions. You will regularly travel to the companies European Head Office for training, meeting key personnel and learning all of the production processes. The current Sales & Marketing Director oversees all UK Sales functions and has 6 Area Sales Managers reporting directly to them, they have a plan to retire in the next 3 years and that will leave this person in a perfect position to step up and replace them. The Area Sales Managers sell directly into Manufacturers of Timber Products such as Door/Window/Cladding & Decking companies. They also sell directly into Merchants & Distributors both Nationals & Independents. This individual will be working closely with the current Sales & Marketing Director throughout these 3 years, learning the ropes and being coached to become the UK figurehead of the company. As part of the well thought out plan and strategy you will benefit from yearly significant pay increases as you develop and as your responsibilities increase. Ultimately you will eventually report to the European Sales Director. Although they will happily set you up as home based due to the location of the companies UK Offices you need to be based in the Home Counties, Midlands, Yorkshire or possibly the North West region. You will NEED to be DEGREE qualified, have had some exposure to commercial sales and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction sales on the road.
