Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Manufacturer

Role

You will be tasked with selling a varied range of plumbing products to include flexible push-fit plumbing, valves, under floor heating and piping solutions. You will spend 60% of your week with the end user. This will include plumbers, engineers, contractors and builders. You will work on building relationships and highlighting the quality of the product. 40% of your time is spent with Merchants; this will include both national & independents like UKPS, Wolseley, MKM, JT Atkinson, Hargreaves, Crosslings, Plumbase etc. The region you will manage is Northumberland, Durham, Tyne & Wear and Cumbria. The region is established but has potential to grow.

The company are very open minded on the experience of the candidate. They are seeking a strong & driven sales person regardless of what product you have sold. They require someone who has 18 months on the road field sales experience who is able to build relationships. You will need to demonstrate you are able to cold call, account manage, cross-sell different product groups, sell on features & benefits of the product, drive activity etc.
