    Head of Sales – Drainage Products


    Exciting & challenging Head of Sales role

    This senior position will be heading up the National Sales team for this Manufacturers complete range of Drainage products – this includes Slot Channels, Separators, Gullies, Grease Traps, Channel Drainage, Anti Flood & Water Attenuation. Predominantly the projects your team are involved with are commercial and industrial. The Head of Sales will be leading the sales team of 8 external salespeople (3 Specification Managers & 5 Business Development Managers) . The specification managers sell into specification via Architects, Main Contractors, and Consulting Engineers. Typically the BDM’s then follow projects through via sub-contractors + a small amount of M&E, both protecting and breaking specifications. Usually the products are sold direct as they aren’t stocked on shelf and are predominantly made to order. As Head of Sales you will be responsible for circa £9Million turnover which represents growth year on year over the last 5 years.  This individual will be predominantly leading, coaching, mentoring and developing the sales team, setting budgets in line with group strategy, managing recruitment and communicating key initiatives. Together with people management. this individual will be leading high level negotiations on certain key projects, identifying growth opportunities, identifying, and implementing strategic marketing strategy and collaborating with colleagues across the organization at all levels.  This division is seeing significant investment and is expected to grow in terms of responsibility under the right person.

The Civils + Infrastructure range has pioneered the management of surface water and today provides architects, specifiers, and engineers with a complete package of integrated systems suitable for use across the entire spectrum of civil engineering projects.


    My client is looking for a proven senior sales leader, who has spark & passion, someone who can drive this team forward. You must be a proven people manager within the construction industry who understands project sales and can demonstrate success in growing business through Contractors. They are completely open on product background as long as you are able to show evidence of understanding & working within Specification & Contracting. This is a National role and you will be based from home so location is flexible but not the top end or extremes of the UK.
