    Head of Sales & Marketing – Plumbing Products

    Role

    This is an exclusive Senior Sales Leadership position looking after the UK sales operation for this leading plumbing product Manufacturer. The company’s products are mainly domestic but do cross over into light commercial as well.  In addition to the existing, well established range of products they have just launched a new exciting range as well.  Within this role you will have responsibility for the profit & loss, sales strategy, recruitment, commercial growth, sales targets and day to day management of all sales staff.  Initially you will be managing a team of 3 Area Sales Managers as well as 3 internal sales people within the head office.  The role will primarily be remote and field based but occasional travel to the Head Office in the Northern Home Counties will be required regularly as well. The company have clear, ambitious growth plans which include recruiting a National Account function to give more head office focus on the National & Independent Merchants. Aside from a big merchant presence the products are also sold through Social Housing, Installers & Developers.  It is a very customer focused role, meaning you will have a huge input with rebates, pricing and supply chain agreements.  This role is available due to strategic growth plans.

    My client is looking for a highly experienced, strategic , commercially astute sales manager from within Plumbing / Heating who can clearly demonstrate success in pushing products through Merchants. You need to be from a Manufacturing background.  You need to be a good negotiator, strategic thinking, be able to work to and implement clear business strategy and be focused on growth. The company have a very down to earth, practical approach so as an individual you need to be personable, be able to display empathy, intellect and have the ability to pull people in the direction needed.
