    Key Account Manager – Plumbing / Heating

    Key Account Manager (Sales Executive) – Plumbing & Heating Products

    Location: Leicester and surrounding areas (30-mile radius)
    Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 basic + OTE £44,000 – £56,000
    Bonus: £4,000 – £6,000 per annum
    Benefits: Company car or £5,000 car allowance, pension, 23 days holiday (rising with service), all out-of-pocket expenses covered.

    A well-established  plumbing & heating merchant with a strong reputation in the industry. This company prides itself on a culture of trust, respect, and customer-focused service. The Leicester branch, where this role is based, is the flagship branch, currently turning over £8 million, with ambitions to grow this to £10 million.

    The Role

    The Key Account Manager will be responsible for selling a broad range of light-side plumbing & heating products, working with major suppliers to service domestic and some commercial customers. This role involves managing an established customer base while actively seeking new business opportunities to drive growth.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Developing and maintaining relationships with small, medium, and large contractors
    • Growing sales through both new client acquisition and expanding business within existing accounts.
    • Working closely with the Leicester branch team, including the Divisional Manager and Branch Manager, to maximize opportunities.
    • Contributing to branch performance and helping increase turnover from £8M to £10M.
    • Promoting margin growth, not just sales volume.

    The Ideal Candidate

    • Experience working within a plumbing & heating merchant.
    • Strong knowledge of plumbing products and their applications.
    • Ability to engage with installers and contractors at different levels.
    • A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to generate new business.
    • Trustworthy, with a reputation for building lasting customer relationships.
