    Regional Sales Manager – Pitched Roofing

    Role

    This role will be selling the company’s range of predominantly pitched roofing products – everything from watertightness, non-lead flashings, pitched/flat roof terminals to ventilation tiles. The role is selling 70% of the time into heavy side/roofing Merchants such as SIG, Rinus Roofing, Burton Roofing, Jewson, Travis Perkins as well as a lot of independent merchants and buying group members – most of your time will be spent dealing at regional level, running promotions/incentives, training and conducting joint calls alongside the merchant staff. The remaining 30% of your time is spent with regional contractors/developers – creating demand at site level and then back-selling via the merchants. They offer a premium product so you need to be able to sell on features and benefits and generally you will have more success through the independents as a result of this. This region is currently performing well and the territory is South Wales, South West across the M4 to Berkshire, Oxfordshire , Buckinghamshire, Surrey and Hampshire.

    My client is looking for a sales person ideally with a strong roofing background , someone who can create demand and then back-sell via roofing merchants. They will also consider a strong heavy side product sales person who can also demonstrate success creating demand and back-selling via the national/independent heavy side merchants. You must be a proactive go-getter who is able to work autonomously and is a strong team player.
