Area Sales Manager – Roofing Manufacturer

Role

You will be tasked with selling the range of fibre cement roofing products. The target base here is mainly concentrated on the Industrial sector, therefore you will be selling into a niche customer base. This will include structual steel fabricators, steel & cladding installers and specialist contractors. There will also be some involvement with specialist distributors where you will maintain strong working relationships. The region is the North of England which will include Yorkshire / the North West / and the Midlands. Please note although the region size is large you will be expected to work smartly with key customers and higher value accounts. My client mentioned this region has lots & lots of potential to grow.

Due to the niche product and customer base, my client is seeking someone with some form of understanding of the sector. He mentioned that he would be particularly interested in candidates that have a fixings / roofing / cladding / galvanised products background. He also mentioned someone that sells into the Industrial sector would be very appealing. My client would prefer someone who is good technically with a “practical mindset”. He certainly doesn’t want someone who is “merchant focused” as this doesn’t fit with the profile of the position.
