Hauraton | Northamptonshire
Courtney Smith Group is retained and exclusively appointed by Hauraton to recruit a Managing Director for its UK business.
The Opportunity
Hauraton is a well-established European manufacturer and market leader within drainage solutions, with a strong international presence and an established UK operation.
This is a key leadership appointment with responsibility for driving the next phase of growth across the UK business. Reporting directly into the Group Head Office in Germany, the Managing Director will take overall responsibility for the UK operation, developing and implementing a clear commercial strategy to significantly grow the business.
The UK operation has an established team across sales, operations, finance and logistics, with the Managing Director leading a senior management structure that includes Sales and Operations Directors.
The business has significant growth ambitions, and this role will be central to delivering those plans.
Key Responsibilities
The Person
We are looking for an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of growing a business within the construction or building products sector.
You may currently be a Managing Director, Sales Director, Commercial Director or senior business leader with the commercial drive and leadership capability to take full responsibility for a UK operation.
Experience within drainage would be advantageous, but is not essential. Hauraton is also open to candidates from mainstream building product sectors such as roofing, insulation, bricks, paving or other related construction products.
You will ideally have experience of working across multiple routes to market, including specification, contractors and merchants, together with a clear understanding of how to develop and execute a successful UK growth strategy.
Above all, we are looking for a positive, driven and commercially focused leader who can motivate people, create momentum and deliver sustainable growth.
This is not a role for a leader who wants to simply maintain the status quo. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a clear vision for how they would develop the business and take it to the next level.
Location
The role is based in Northamptonshire and the successful candidate must be commutable to the area, with a requirement to be office-based for a minimum of three days per week.
Why Hauraton?
This is an opportunity to join an established and highly regarded international group and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of its UK operation.
For an ambitious senior leader, this represents an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a UK business, lead an established team and deliver a significant growth programme with the backing of a successful European parent company.
