You will take ownership of specification sales for an ambitious, fast-growing manufacturer of specialist heating products.
The range offers a compelling combination of technical performance, energy efficiency and commercial value. With a number of genuine USPs, strong SAP credentials and clear energy and lifetime cost-saving benefits for end users, you will have a strong proposition to take to the specification market.
Your role will be to develop opportunities from the earliest stages of a project, influence product specification and manage relationships throughout the sales cycle to help convert specifications into secured business.
A major part of your time will be spent developing relationships with housebuilders and regional developers, identifying new residential schemes and working with key decision-makers to secure the product range as the preferred heating solution.
You will also build strong relationships across the social housing and public sector, working with housing associations, local authorities and other providers where energy efficiency, compliance, running costs and long-term value are critical purchasing considerations.
Within the commercial specification market, you will engage with M&E consultants, M&E contractors and other project stakeholders across developments such as schools, hospitals, public buildings and major commercial schemes. You will identify projects, influence specifications and remain involved through the project lifecycle to maximise conversion.
The versatility of the range creates an unusually broad opportunity: the same core product proposition can provide a compelling heating solution for everything from a one-bedroom apartment to a major football stadium.
The region you will manage is and can be flexible due to the fact they only have a small external sales team currently. A key region of focus is the North West / m62 Corridor, drifting down and taking in the Midlands. However, my client would need flexibility as you may spend some time in Glasgow (as an example) managing a project for the company. My client can be open minded for the right individual if you happen to live outside of the “preffered” catchment area.
As I mentioned the business are growing rapidly and is ideally positioned around the direction of regulation, energy efficiency and building standards.
The key area here is someone with a HVAC specifcation background. You will be comfortable speaking about a technical product, and be confident in managing a sales pipeline with either a social housing provider, house builder, or an m&e contractor on a commercial project.
