    Area Sales Manager – Abrasives / Industrial Supplies

    Northern Region / Midlands  
    £40,000 – £50,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus (OTE £50k–£65k+) + Company Car + Benefits

    An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer within the industrial consumables sector. This is a key role managing one of the company’s strongest and most established territories.

    The Role

    As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling a wide range of abrasive products used in applications such as cutting, grinding, sanding, and finishing.

    You will:

    • Manage and grow an established territory with a turnover of circa £1.6m
    • Sell predominantly through specialist distributors (including independents and nationals)
    • Build strong relationships with existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities
    • Work with a mix of distribution partners and some direct end users (e.g. manufacturing sites)
    • Plan and manage a large geographical area, including occasional overnight stays

    This is a field-based role covering a broad region including the North, Midlands

    • Welding or engineering supplies

    Person

    • A motivated, self-driven sales professional
    • Experience selling into or through distribution (preferred but not essential)
    • Be comfortable managing a large geographical territory
    • Be organised, proactive, and relationship-focused

    Package

    • £40,000 – £50,000 basic salary
    • Uncapped bonus (OTE £50k–£65k+, top performers exceeding this)
