This role will be selling the company’s range of flooring under 2 prominent key brands – both are Laminate & Engineered Wood Flooring products. The range also includes accessories such as underlay, adhesives & foams. Selling into predominantly independent flooring Showroom/Retailers & carpet shops, together with some national/independent merchants & buying group e.g., Jewson, Travis Pekins, Lavers, NBG & Fortis etc. This role will involve selling at a regional level and within the independent shops dealing direct to business owners, negotiating pricing, up-selling further ranges, setting up promotions, in-store training, and merchandising. There may also be involvement with some trade events as well as some occasional specification via the showrooms, creating demand is also crucial. The area has a very healthy level of customers and turnover but still offers excellent potential to develop further business. The territory is North London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Bucks, Berkshire & Oxfordshire.

My client is looking for a strong salesperson who must have 2+ years experience in construction field sales dealing with the same range of customers – retailers / merchants. As an individual my client places high value in having honesty/integrity and drive. The ideal candidate of course will come from a Flooring background, however a quality sales person from any other construction product is fine. My client is particularly fond of sales people who have experience selling a high quality brand, someone who is very much on the way up who has passion.
