    Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Products

    Role

    You will sell the full range of plumbing products which will include valves, piping, push-fit plumbing, shower hoses, brassware, taps and consumables.

    This position is 100% focused on Independent Plumbers Merchants and Buying Group Members. Customers will include UK Plumbing Supplies, MKM, Bradfords, Coastline in Poole, Williams & Co., PHG Members, IPG Members. You will inherit around 275 spending / non spending accounts across the patch, with a revenue of around £2.5m. A big part of this role is building and maintaining key working relationships over the trade counter with Branch Managers / Assistant Managers & Trade Counter staff. You will be encouraging them to hold more stock, take in a wider portfolio of products and push the products where possible. Breakfast mornings and trade events are encouraged as they are an excellent way of building relationships with plumbing installers who are present within the branch.  The area is Bristol, Dorset, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bershire, Oxfordshire, Herefordshire and South Wales.

    My client stated he wants someone who is currently working within plumbing / heating / potentially bathroom sales. You could be working for a merchant as a Branch Manager / Assistant Manager and be looking for a switch to field sales; this will be an ideal background due to your understanding of the trade counter environment and strong product knowledge. Alternatively you could be in field sales just now and be working for a manufacturer selling into Merchants, this will also carry lots of synergy.
