Area Sales Manager – Power Tools

    Role

Regional Sales Executive – Specialist Power Tools

You’ll be responsible for selling a premium range of specialist power tools across a well-established product portfolio.

Covering the North West, North East UK and Scotland, you’ll focus on managing and developing relationships with:

    • Distributors
    • Independent dealers
    • Builders’ merchants
    • Online resellers, including major key accounts
    • A small number of end users, including shopfitters, contractors and joiners

You’ll inherit an established territory, managing approximately 10 key dealer accounts across the region.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing and growing existing customer accounts
    • Identifying and winning new business opportunities
    • Building relationships with decision-makers at all levels, from business owners to branch staff
    • Delivering product demonstrations and hands-on training
    • Selling on features and benefits rather than price
    • Working from home while reporting to the UK National Sales Manager

    The Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer of premium specialist power tools and is recognised for its quality, innovation and engineering excellence.

The business has experienced significant growth within the UK market over recent years and has built a strong reputation for supplying high-performance solutions to professional users across a range of industries.

With a commitment to product development, customer service and long-term partnerships, the company continues to strengthen its position as a market leader within the industry.

    The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a confident, commercially driven sales professional with the ability to sell premium, high-value solutions.

    We’re looking for someone who:

    • Has experience selling specialist power tools, technical products or similar solutions (preferred but not essential)
    • Can sell on value rather than price
    • Is confident negotiating with business owners and senior decision-makers
    • Has a strong, resilient personality with a results-focused attitude
    • Is motivated, self-sufficient and comfortable working remotely
    • Enjoys product demonstrations and building customer relationships

Candidates with a practical trade background—particularly former carpenters, joiners or cabinet makers—would also be considered, as their technical knowledge and enthusiasm can translate well into a consultative sales role.

    Key Attributes

    • Strong commercial awareness
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Relationship builder
    • Self-motivated and driven
    • Comfortable with product demonstrations
    • Consultative, value-based selling approach
    • High levels of energy, resilience and determination

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, growing business, representing a respected premium brand while managing an established territory across the North West, North East UK and Scotland and driving new business growth.
