Business Development Manager – KBB / Housebuilders

Location: South East England – covering Northamptonshire, the South East and across to Kent
    Salary: £65,000–£70,000 basic + Upto £10,000 bonus
Benefits: Company car, laptop and pension

    The Company

Our client is a successful, privately owned business operating within the KBB and wider building products sector. Established for over 35 years, the business has developed a strong reputation for supplying quality fitted furniture and complementary products into the UK construction industry.

With an established national presence, a turnover in excess of £15 million and continued ambitions for growth, the company is looking to strengthen its commercial team with the appointment of a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager.

    The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to take ownership of a well-established sales territory, developing existing relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities.

Working with national and regional housebuilders, you will promote a range of fitted furniture and associated interior products, building relationships with key decision-makers and influencing opportunities from an early stage.

A key priority will be developing new relationships with regional housebuilders, an area offering considerable potential for growth. The role will suit someone who enjoys winning new business, opening doors and converting opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Developing new business opportunities with regional and national housebuilders.
    • Building strong relationships with commercial teams, buyers and other key decision-makers.
    • Growing sales revenue and market share across the designated territory.
    • Identifying upcoming residential developments and securing specification and supply opportunities.
    • Managing the full sales process, from initial prospecting through to negotiation and account development.
    • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers while prioritising new business generation.
    • Working towards revenue targets and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

    The Person

We are looking for a commercially minded, self-motivated sales professional with a strong track record of developing new business within the housebuilding sector.

Experience within KBB, fitted furniture, interiors or building products would be advantageous, although candidates from other relevant construction-related sectors will also be considered.

    You will ideally demonstrate:

    • Experience selling products or solutions into national or regional housebuilders.
    • A proven ability to generate new business and develop lasting customer relationships.
    • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
    • A proactive approach to identifying and converting new opportunities.
    • The motivation and resilience to work autonomously and deliver against ambitious sales targets.

Both established Business Development Managers and ambitious sales professionals ready to take the next step will be considered, provided they can demonstrate the right experience, attitude and drive.

    The Package

    • Basic salary of £65,000–£70,000, depending on experience.
    • Bonus of £10,000, linked to revenue performance, with further earning potential for exceeding targets
