    Contracts Specification Manager – Flooring Solutions

    Location: National (ideal location North of England)
    Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 dependent on experience + Bonus (OTE £65k–£80k+)
    Benefits:  Hybrid Company Car or Allowance option, Pension, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

    The Role

    We are recruiting for a newly created Contracts Specification Manager position within a leading UK manufacturer in the flooring sector.

    This is a project-led specification role, focused on driving demand and securing specifications across a wide range of residential and commercial developments. You will be responsible for promoting a full portfolio of high-quality flooring solutions, including underlay, acoustic systems, adhesives, and accessories.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Securing product specifications with architects, developers, and main contractors
    • Managing projects from initial specification through to completion
    • Working on large-scale residential and commercial projects (e.g. housing developments, hotels, hospitals, leisure)
    • Tracking and identifying opportunities using industry tools such as Barbour ABI or Glenigan
    • Collaborating with an established sales team across distribution and retail channels

    This is a strategic growth role within the business, offering the opportunity to shape and develop the specification function.

    The Candidate

    We are seeking a high-calibre sales professional with a strong background in specification or contract sales.

    Ideal experience includes:

    • Proven success in winning large, multi-site or project-based specifications
    • Experience working with developers, architects, and contractors
    • Strong commercial awareness and project management skills
    • Familiarity with CRM systems and lead generation platforms (e.g. Barbour ABI, Glenigan)
    • Background in interiors, construction products, or building materials (preferred but not essential)

    This role would suit someone ambitious, driven, and capable of operating at a strategic level within a growing function.
