    Internal Sales Executive – Construction Accessories

    Role

    My client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to join their busy branch team in Saint Helens. This is a fast-paced internal sales role where you will be responsible for managing and developing existing customer accounts, while also identifying and converting new business opportunities. You will handle inbound enquiries via phone and email, process orders accurately, and ensure customers receive a consistently high level of service. You will also prepare quotations and look for opportunities to increase order values through add-on sales.

    A key part of the role will be re-engaging lapsed accounts and helping to drive activity across both new and existing customers. You will work closely with warehouse and external sales teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment, and you will also support the trade counter when required.

    The Person

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience in internal sales, ideally within builders’ merchants or construction distribution, although strong experience from a similar customer-facing sales environment will also be considered. You will be confident communicating with customers and building strong relationships over time. You will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment where attention to detail and accuracy are important. A proactive and commercially aware mindset is essential, along with good numeracy and IT skills. This role would suit someone already working in internal sales or trade counter who is looking to take the next step in their career within a stable and supportive business.
