We are recruiting for an experienced National Account Manager to join a major supplier within the plumbing and heating sector. This is a newly created position driven by continued business growth and expansion across national and regional merchant accounts.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing key commercial agreements with major plumbing merchants, distributors, and buying groups across the UK, helping to strengthen existing partnerships while identifying opportunities for further growth.
This is a strategic, relationship-led role suited to an established key account professional with strong industry knowledge and proven negotiation experience.
Manage national and regional agreements with plumbing merchants and buying groups with likes of PHG, IPG, NBG, UKPS etc
Develop and grow relationships with key decision makers across major accounts
Negotiate commercial terms and implement account growth strategies
Work closely with internal sales and leadership teams to deliver business objectives
Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and wider market channels
Support continued expansion of an established plumbing consumables product portfolio
Accounts are likely to include:
National and regional buying groups
Leading plumbing merchants
Distribution partners within the plumbing and heating sector
The business supplies a wide range of professional plumbing and heating consumables and tools, including:
Testing equipment
Safety products
Pipe freezing solutions
Plumbing tools
Plumbing consumables and fittings
Heat pump and refrigeration consumables
We are seeking a commercially driven individual who can add immediate value within key accounts.
Essential experience:
Background within plumbing & heating or closely related sector
Proven experience managing merchant or buying group accounts
National or regional key account management experience
Strong commercial negotiation skills
Established relationships within plumbing merchants advantageous
Please note:
This role requires an experienced account manager — it is not suited to someone stepping up from an Area Sales role.
Basic Salary: £60,000
Bonus: £5,000 (paid quarterly against KPIs)
