    National Account Manager – Plumbing & Heating

    A long-established and highly respected UK manufacturer within the plumbing and heating sector is looking to appoint a National Account Manager to drive growth across key national accounts and strategic partners.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced national account manager with a strong background in plumbing and heating products to join a market-leading business with a premium product offering and ambitious growth plans.

    The Role

    Reporting to the UK Sales Manager  you will take ownership of a portfolio of national merchant, buying group, and retail accounts, while also identifying and securing new business opportunities.

    You will be responsible for managing and developing relationships at head office level, negotiating commercial agreements, and creating strategic account plans to maximise growth across the UK.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Managing and developing key national accounts
    • Negotiating contracts and commercial agreements
    • Building relationships with senior stakeholders including directors, buyers, category managers, and procurement teams
    • Driving specification and product range growth across accounts
    • Identifying and winning new business opportunities
    • Delivering strategic sales plans across merchant, retail, and buying group channels
    • Managing multi-million turnover
    • Travelling nationally with regular customer meetings and occasional overnight stays

    The Ideal Candidate

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Proven experience in National Account Management or Key Account Management
    • A background within plumbing & heating, bathrooms, boilers, valves, taps, showers, heat pumps, or associated products
    • Experience dealing with national merchants, buying groups, or retail accounts
    • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills
    • Experience managing strategic accounts at head office level
    • A proactive and driven approach to business development
    • The ability to work autonomously while managing a national territory
