Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 basic + bonus

Our client is a fast-growing UK manufacturer specialising in metal standing seam roofing and cladding systems for roof and wall applications. The business offers a cost-effective, high-quality alternative to traditional roofing systems and is backed by expert technical support and responsive customer service.
Operating across residential, commercial, education, healthcare and leisure sectors, the company competes with well-known brands within the building envelope and roofing systems market and forms part of a wider group of construction-focused businesses.
This is a national, new business–focused sales role responsible for promoting and specifying a range of metal standing seam roof and wall cladding systems, along with assoicated products.
You will be tasked with increasing brand awareness while building long-term relationships across the supply chain, including:
Main contractors
Roofing installers
Architects and specifiers
Developers and housebuilders
The role is heavily specification-led and will involve regular engagement with project stakeholders to secure product inclusion at design stage. You will also represent the business at exhibitions and trade shows and work closely with technical and estimating teams to maximise order conversion.
The opportunity could progress into managing a small estimators team once established.
Occasional travel to the South Wales head office will be required.
Develop new business opportunities nationally
Build and maintain strong specification relationships
Promote metal roofing and cladding solutions across multiple sectors
Support merchants and installers to drive product pull-through
Collaborate with technical and estimating teams
Attend trade shows and industry events
Manage and grow existing accounts alongside new business activity
This role will suit an experienced Area Sales Manager or Business Development Manager looking for a clear step up into a national position.
You will likely come from one of the following backgrounds:
Roofing systems
Metal cladding / building envelope
Steel or insulation products
Manufacturer or specialist merchant sales
Candidates must have:
Proven experience selling technical construction products
Strong specification and relationship-building skills
A proactive, new business mindset
The confidence to operate nationally and independently
