Dan joined Courtney Smith Group on day one of trading in 2003 as a Recruitment Consultant, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the business. By 2005, he had progressed to become a shareholder and Director, taking on full responsibility for managing the company’s entire sales operation.

In 2020, during one of the most challenging periods in the company’s history, Dan stepped up as Managing Director. Today, he oversees the sales team and maintains close relationships with Courtney Smith’s long-standing key accounts, continuing to drive the business forward with a focus on growth, performance, and client service.

Before joining the company, Dan worked as an Area Sales Manager in the construction sector with Yeoman Aggregates (now Aggregate Industries) and Hepworth Building Products (now Wavin Building Products), giving him a strong foundation in the industry.

Outside of work, Dan has been married to Danielle since 2009 and is a proud father to three sons – including Callum, who has now joined the family business. Dan is an avid supporter of his sons’ football journeys, regularly cheering on Jack, who plays at a competitive level for Cheshunt EJA, and Archie, who plays midfield for a local team in the Brenwtood division.

Dan enjoys traveling, has a keen interest in premium whiskeys, and takes great pride in his growing watch collection.
